The AFCEA Central VA chapter serves the Defense and Intelligence Industry in the Greater Charlottesville area to include several local large and small businesses, the Defense Intelligence Agency, National Ground Intelligence Center, National Geospatial Intelligence Center, and US Army. Our chapter has quarterly luncheons with speakers such as senior executives w/in the DIA, NGIC, and Army INSCOM. We also had speakers from academia and industry related to Cyber, Biometrics, ISR, data science, big data and any current threats or capability.
We continue to spotlight local Small Businesses at our luncheons to provide more visibility to the small businesses in our area. We award STEM Teaching grants to local teachers and award scholarships to women and minorities in STEM related fields.
